Leaks, blockages and bathroom fittings sorted properly

Water damage gets expensive quickly, and most of it starts with a small leak that someone put off. We find the source, fix it, and leave the area dry and tidy.

Overview

plumbing services you can rely on

A damp patch, a slow drain or a running toilet rarely fixes itself. Left alone, a slow leak behind a wall does far more damage than the repair would have cost, and it usually shows up first as a stain rather than a puddle.
Our plumbers trace the source rather than treating the symptom, and tell you honestly whether it is a five-minute fix or something that needs opening up.
Scope of work

What our plumbing work covers

Everyday repairs through to full replacement of fittings and pipework.

Leak detection & repair

Visible and concealed leaks traced to source, including pipework behind walls and under floors, then repaired properly.

Blocked drains & sinks

Slow or blocked sinks, showers, floor drains and toilets cleared, with the cause identified so it does not immediately return.

Water heaters

Installation, repair, thermostat and element replacement, plus descaling for units struggling in hard water.

Bathroom fittings

Taps, mixers, showers, toilets, cisterns and basins replaced or installed, with correct sealing and no future leaks.

Kitchen plumbing

Sink and mixer replacement, waste and trap repairs, plus supply connections for washing machines and dishwashers.

Pipework & repiping

Corroded or failing pipe runs replaced, new supply lines installed and pressure problems diagnosed and corrected.

In detail

Finding the leak instead of guessing where it is

The hardest part of most leaks is not the repair, it is locating the source. Water travels along pipes, joists and behind tiling, so the wet patch is often nowhere near the actual failure.
We work back from the evidence: which fittings are involved, whether it worsens with use, whether pressure holds when isolated. That narrows it down before anything gets opened up, which keeps the damage and the cost down.
The same applies to blockages. Clearing a drain without asking why it blocked means you will be calling again shortly. Grease build-up, a failing trap and a partially collapsed waste all need different answers.

Our process

How we handle your plumbing job

The same process every time, so you always know what happens next.
01

Describe the problem

Where the water is showing, when it started, and whether it changes when you use a specific fitting.
02

Locate the source

We trace it back to the actual failure before opening anything up, keeping disruption to a minimum.
03

Agree the repair

You get the cost and the method before we start, including whether anything needs to be opened or re-tiled.
04

Fix and test

The repair is completed, pressure tested and the area left clean and dry.
The difference

Why book this with Tidy Zen

Source, not symptom

We locate the actual failure rather than sealing the nearest visible joint and hoping it holds.

Fast on active leaks

An active leak is damaging your property every hour. Those get priority over routine bookings.

Left clean

Plumbing work is messy. Clearing up afterwards is part of the job, not an optional extra.

FAQ

Plumbing questions, answered

Still unsure about something? Send us a message and we will answer honestly, even if the answer is that you do not need us yet.

Usually yes. Water tracks along pipework and behind tiling, so the damp patch is often some distance from the failure. We work back from the evidence and isolate sections to narrow it down before opening anything up.

Because clearing it removed the blockage but not the cause. Grease build-up, a failing trap, incorrect falls or a partially collapsed waste all cause repeat blockages. We look for why it happened rather than just pushing it through.

Yes, including replacing failed units, fitting new thermostats and elements, and descaling units that have lost efficiency in hard water.

Often yes, if the new fitting matches the existing footprint. If it does not, we will tell you before starting rather than discovering it halfway through.

It is not an emergency, but it wastes a surprising amount of water and usually indicates a worn flush valve or float. It is a quick, inexpensive fix and worth doing sooner rather than later.

Yes. Low or fluctuating pressure can come from partially closed valves, blocked aerators, scaled pipework or a supply issue. We diagnose which before recommending anything.

Yes, including offices, retail units and small facilities, with out-of-hours scheduling where daytime work would disrupt trading.
